Fresh Spring Florals!
Winter is usually all about subdued shades, dark colors, heavy fabric and more layers than my Gran’s favorite cake. One of the best things about spring is seeing all the new color combinations showing up in the stores. For 2012 - Florals are finding their way back too. Hot colors include: tangerine, yellow, mint, kelly green and coral PINK. While it’s great to find our inspiration from the designer collections – we still have to make sure in work for us.
This spring rework the stuffy suit look with a pair of white or colored jeans. You can dress them up for a night out with the girls. Put on a flirty floral blazer, your highest heels and you’re all set. Now before you start pointing out WE LIVE IN MICHIGAN AND IT’S STILL COLD! I know, I know… Mother Nature isn’t done with Michigan yet. So… inject a bit of color, add a floral top into your wardrobe now. It will do wonders for improving your outlook.
Inspiration for this look was from J. Crew – Peplum Top in Fresco Floral Sateen. We found the blazer at the Goodwill in Burton for $4.99 and the Jeans at the Oxford store for $6.99.
